Remember the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, Xiaomi’s premium Wear OS-powered smartwatch? It looks like the company is getting ready to launch a more affordable variant, aptly named the Xiaomi Watch 2. While Xiaomi itself hasn’t officially launched the new wearable, a number of store listings spotted online showcased the watch, which does feature a familiar design.
More specifically, online retailer pages in markets including Germany and the Netherlands have posted the watch, which is going for around 199.99 to 219.99 Euros depending on the region. In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi Watch 2 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 quad-core SoC, and will feature 5 ATM waterproofing, and a 1.43-inch AMOLED display.
In terms of connectivity, the watch will support WiFi, NFC, GPS and GNSS, although there’s no mention of LTE connectivity, which seems to be reserved for the Pro model. Another key difference is the lack of a rotating crown, as the base model Watch 2 will instead come with action buttons for navigation, in addition to the touch display.
Be sure to stay tuned for more news on the upcoming Xiaomi Watch 2.
